DiRector, LaMont Lyons

LaMont is a dedicated leader with a passion for motivating and inspiring people through education, sports, and mentorship. As a highly motivated educator with exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills, LaMont is deeply committed to supporting both leaders and students in their personal and professional development. His experiences as a coach, educator and administrator have given him valuable insight into the joys and challenges of engaging with diverse personalities.

LaMont’s career includes roles as a school director and principal, preceded by years of teaching and coaching football, basketball, and softball in the Ringgold School District. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a ministry license through the Champion Leadership Academy, further aligning his faith with his mission to serve and uplift others.

As an athlete, LaMont excelled at both the high school and collegiate levels. At Ringgold High School, he was a two-year letterman as an offensive and defensive tackle (OT/DT), team captain, and earned recognition as a 1998 National City Classic All-Star. He continued his athletic success at Geneva College, where he played as a nose tackle (NT) and was a member of the 1998 Victory Bowl Championship team.

Since 2001, LaMont has brought his expertise and passion to coaching football, basketball, and softball at youth, middle school, and high school levels. With both head and assistant coaching experience, he has spent the past 14 years coaching his sons in football and basketball, fostering not only athletic development but also character and life skills.
